Sabedong fought professionally from 1954 to 1964, accumulating 17 wins along the way. He was best known for lasting ten rounds with Cassius Clay. During the fight, he was penalized two points for hitting on the break. A former Waikiki beach boy and Hawaiian tour guide, he quit boxing at the age of 34. He ultimately retired as a Hawaiian State Corrections employee.
