The medallion was custom minted to commemorate the second Ali/Spinks fight when Ali won his heavyweight title back for a record third time. The 1¹/₄" medallion is richly plated in genuine 24kt. gold, and hangs from a 23" chain. There's a facsimile of Ali's autograph on the front, and on the back, one of Ali's favorite prayers before entering the ring. Written in Arabic, it translates to "If God gives you victory, no one can defeat you". A picture of the Superdome and "Ali the Greatest versus Spinks the Latest" are also incorporated into the design.
