Muhammad Ali Training Gloves, On-site Ticket and Fight Photo
Item # FC-2333
Rare and one-of-a-kind mementos from the fight that established Ali as the Greatest of All Time. Though the heavyweight bout took place on 10/30/74 in Zaire, Africa, the fight began long before the first punch was ever thrown. Ali embraced the native Africans whose "Ali, bomaye" chant followed him wherever he went. For the most part, the undefeated Foreman, coming into the fight as the heavy favorite with a 40-0 record, remained in seclusion. Highlighting this extraordinary collection are the training gloves that Ali actually wore while training in Zaire (the gloves are removable for closer inspection). Also included is a genuine on-site ticket plus an action photo from the fight and a photo of Ali wearing the training gloves. Suede matting and the elegant brown frame have golden accents to highlight every piece.
