An official program from the April 7-9 A.A.U. National Amateur Boxing Championships held in Toledo, Ohio. Clay won the Championships with a second round T.K.O. over Jeff Davis and emerged as the finest fighter in the field of 119 competitors. A month later, Clay competed in the Olympic Trials to win a spot on the 1960 Boxing Team that would compete in Rome. The program in red, white and blue, along with the A.A.U. emblem on the front cover, is one of just 5 known to exist. In excellent condition.
